I first became interested in it because of my wife. She went through the 4 hours of ritual of intense heat and came out like a rising phoenix. She talked of her neck pain being on done, a weight has lifted from her mind and body and most importantly a calmness after the ritual.

So on Feb 9, 2025, I began my journey. I had some expectations about the intense heat but I knew he experience is individualized. I was part of a group with Solarys of about 15 people which were all Spanish speaking. We knew that there is going to be a language barrier, but the experience what we were after because we can make it to what we want.

We started with a worshiping of the 4 four corners of the earth followed by calling of the fire god and expressing our expectation of the Temezcal. After that, we all entered the tent with a fire pit in the middle to hold the burning stones. We sat around in complete darkness and the chant began to welcome the burning stones. The tent then closes and the singing began with the guide pouring medicinal water on the stones and the steam starts to rise.

The "Masculine Energy"

This was the first ritual called the Masculine Energy or work. The temperature quickly became very hot and breathing becomes a little difficult be totally bearable. I was starting to sweat like a pig. This first ritual was to empower our masculine side. Each of us took turn describing what it means to us. I recalled telling everyone what that it means being firm with integrity and not waving under any circumstances. After that we continued to chant until the second ritual.

The "Inner Child"

We took a short break to bring in new burning stones. When it was ready the chanting began again with the second ritual called the Inner Child. I can feel the temperature getting hotter then the first ritual. As we continue to chant we were asked if there was a message for our inner child. Something in your childhood that you want to say or tell. For example, I sensed that my inner child is calling me back to source. It does not want to me in this world. Of course that is not possible, so I told my inner child that we need to make the best of this world and we have things we need to accomplish. After everyone had a chance to speak, the chanting continued and concluded.

The "Feminine Energy"

The 3rd ritual began much the same way as the previous 2 rituals. This 3rd ritual focused on the Feminine Energy. We were asked to sit with our legs open to symbolize giving birth. The chanting and the songs were all to give gratitude to our grandmothers through many lineages, I did not recall them asking us to say something. The heat from his ritual was kicking my butt. I felt this was way hotter than of the 4 rituals. This could be that I lack the Feminine Energy. Either way, I was so glad we were given water after the 3rd ritual.

The "Dragon"

The 4th ritual began in much the same was as the previous 3 rituals. This one is called the Dragon. I think it really meant the fire dragon and this ritual was to symbolize the removal or burning of the things that no longer serves our purpose. We were given clay to put over our face and body. The guide told us it was medicinal. The chanting and singing continued and paused to ask each of us what it is that we want to offer the dragon to remove or take away. When it was my turn, I had offered my impatience to the dragon. I had always known that need to be more patience and had worked on it for the majority of my life. After everyone had a opportunity to speak, the ritual ended and we were asked to go outside to wash off the clash.

How did I feel after all this?

First thing I noticed, I felt "high" but in a very good way. Like I am a different person with a lot of inner peace. It is indescribable, because it is an experience. When I looked up, I was shocked to see my vision was exceptionally sharp. People who knows be knows that my vision was always blurry as an adult. I had perfect vision as a child.

To really sum up what happened, it was a rebirth experience.
